The first letter of The Society of Lost Correspondence has been set loose. A romance so legendary that artists would immortalize it, poets would weep for it, and historians would write of its passion—if only it had survived the sound of a single, unforgivable crunch.
Love is delicate. Love is eternal. Love is one loud chip away from complete devastation.
I wrote it down so I could let it go,

Hi Elsie!!
My lovely daughter Aislynne came home to visit on this very rainy dark weekend from McMaster University, so we went thrifting for books to lift our spirits (since there was a 30% off sale!) We were at The Value Village in Barrie and grabbed for a book off the shelf and your “He never came home. I wrote anyway.” letter fell out. We were so thrilled to find it. We followed your lead to the website, and are now responding to you as requested regarding what we assume are the ghost letters.
